However, modern garden furniture manufacturers who rely on lots of colour, such as the French company Fermob, have also brought out garden furniture classics. Some series of this iron garden furniture, such as the Bistro series, resembles the classic model of the folding chair made of wood and metal and can already be found in some cafés in Times Square in New York. The Luxembourg metal chairs from this company have also made it into the classics of garden furniture.
The classic wicker chairs, which were also used as garden chairs, were chairs made of loom or rattan material. Today, these chairs are often made of weather-resistant polyrattan, but the shapes still correspond in the broadest sense to those of the original wicker chairs.
