No matter which parasol you choose, at our parasol manufacturer Glatz® you will find the right parasol for your balcony, patio or garden.
The traditional Swiss company has been manufacturing large and small parasols of the highest quality for over 120 years. An umbrella from these early days is still available in the Glatz® range today.
The design classic Alexo® from 1932, with its wooden pole and multi-adjustable and foldable articulated joint, is still a very special kind of balcony parasol today.
But Glatz® also offers many different variations for the large parasols. Whether rectangular, square or round, all Glatz® parasols are characterised by their functionality and quality.
Glatz® achieved another milestone in sunshade development in 1959 when the first traffic light sunshade was launched on the market. As this sunshade was based on the principle of a pendulum sunshade, it was christened Pendalex®. This parasol was the international breakthrough and is still in the range today. The Pendalex® is characterised by its narrow profiles and its great mobility, which allows the sunshade to be tilted in all directions. It is also height-adjustable thanks to the built-in gas pressure spring.
The Sombrano® is a free-arm sunshade with large diameters of up to 450 cm and can be rotated 360 degrees using a foot pedal. The inclination can be adjusted up to 54 degrees. This allows you to optimally adjust the course of the sun and shade your favourite spot.
In addition to all the technical features that characterise Glatz® parasols, the company also has classic market parasols in its range. You can choose between teak and maple wood and between round or square.
For parasols on the balcony or patio, the aluminium centre pole parasol range is suitable, with various shading options depending on the size and wind conditions of the patio. All Glatz® parasols are tested in the wind tunnel for their material strength and material connections so that you can find the perfect parasol for your installation site.
Depending on the size of the parasol, a suitable stand is required. In addition to the classic concrete or granite stands, there are also the options of installing a ground socket, using a wall bracket or an easily manoeuvrable castor base.
